1) In your own words describe the sound of DIAMATREGON.
It's an horrible and awful noise. I do work with kind of concepts behind each release, I never do the same thing in the same way. I don't try to make the best songs ever (I suppose some can do it better) but It's more something like experimentations on Black Metal. Negative, bad, awful, non acceptable and evil prevails.

2) The 3rd DIAMATREGON opus was just released. Explain the record, and your thoughts compared to the old releases.
In fact it is the 4th Opus. I've done alone the "between the devil and the deep blue sea" demo97. Then the "Vinbär frost" with a drummer/violinist, a piano/keyboardist and my sister on flutes in 98 .It was a kind of remake of the "between. . ."demo. Few time after I've done alone (even playing drums by myself) the "spit demon" which is a split demo with another onemanband : "MOLOCHIOS". In 99 I decided to make Krukka (the drummer on Vinbär frost) and 'URL(the one behind MOLOCHIOS) permanents members to play live. . . So with this same line-up we've recorded "The Satanic Devotion" album on 24 tracks studio. Compared to the old releases, it is a real album made by a real band (and not a demo made by a one man band) which sounds purely and simply as we are. It's a combination of our 3 firsts experiences, the occult of the first, the strength of the "Vinbär Frost" and the old raw touch of the "spit demon".

3) DIAMATREGON has played some live shows lately? What exactly goes on stage at a DIAMATREGON show ? Your overall view on playing live ?

Actually we've done only 3 live shows, so it is quite new for us (contrary to the studio performances) and very exciting as we don't control all that happened. It's amazing as these 2 firsts shows had different atmosphere. At the first, people were friendly and interested, the second audience was an hostile one. It was a punk atmosphere with fights during the show. . . It seems that some people don't understand and don't accept what we do.

4) I found Vinbär Frost to be one of DIAMATREGON's best releases, however, you cannot stand the release. Why are you so dissatisfied with it ?
I'm not so dissatisfied with it, maybe I could have pushed it farest. What I tried to tell you is that this demo shouldn't impresses anyone taken separately from the rest of DIAMATREGON work. It doesn't mean anything outside the context. It was an answer to the words on the first one meaning that all disaster made on the "between. . ." was purely intentional and not by lake of capacity! I wanted to make negative work, and the "Vinbär frost" is the positive. All this BM nowadays are so beautiful and nice. The "between. . ." still scare me, I can't listen to it peacefully. Also, I think I'll record other stuff in the vein of the "Vinbär frost" idea, never stop the madness! ! !

5) The French scene has been taking a turn towards the NS scene w/ bands like Osculum Infame and Kristallnacht getting a lot of attention. Your thoughts on the matter.
I know only one song from Obsculum Infame which is great but I don't know Kristallnacht even if an Italian told me about them. I suppose they are not very interested in the French scene, but more in the international one and it might be the reason why I know few about them, especially Kristallnacht. Maybe France will be the next Norway!? I don't know? In France we have a lot of big BM labels as Osmose, Season of mist, and other like Drakkar, Velvet, Holy, Adipocere, etc.. .Also there are a lot of underground bands. I'm close to BLACKLODGE (electronic weird BM) as I do bass-live-session for him.

6) The first Obscure release was very Abruptum inspired, whereas the 2nd had nothing to do with metal. Yet still very ritualistic, Why the sudden change of directions. And what will the 3rd Obscure sound like ?
A corpse conscientious was necessary to leave it. As it is stated (in French) in the "Occultas Puritas De Saatanas", it was "recorded before the grand depart". This first opus is like a point of departure, not to leave from nowhere, it is kind of foundations... With "Fanacide" we are already gone and I don't think we'll make another landfall, or it would be somewhere else. In "OPDS" a place is concretely palpable feel able, in "Fanacide" your feet don't touch the ground! So, you can't cal it a "sudden change of direction", but more a departure so we still can change of direction. 3rd Obscure will be a 2 tape release, it will probably sound like 2.

7) Is there any truth to the rumor that the first Obscure tape came drenched in blood ?

All rumors about DMG are true, so I encourage anyone to spread rumors, true or false. Banging a head on a wall as a sacrifice might be a source of blood. ..Open minding

8) Speaking of Abruptum. Do you think "IT" will ever make a much needed return back to the scene ?
I know why you ask me this question. . .Maybe I have to tell you the truth, maybe not? That is the question. . . However, I do understand, maybe more than anyone else why IT disappeared. For a return check Bathory second album.

9) Diamargareton has always been very open minded with his musical tastes. What have you been listening to lately? Any new releases you find worthy of attention.

Thanks for the compliment. Lately. . .? I've just bought Incipit Satan from GORGOROTH, song 5 remind me a song with mandolin and accordion. . . COSTES stand as a reference for me ,as well as all the PAUL CHAIN discography.

10) Now onto your label, DMG prod. Is this a label to promote your projects? >Are you planning to sign other bands? If so who do you have in mind ?

Yes, DMG is a label to promote my projects, but only those who feet in the DMG concept (meaning not only one direction and ambiguity! ! ! !) . DMG is a small structure, so if someone is interested in re-release the DIAMATREGON album and next it would be cool. Neither the less, demos are still planed for DIAMATREGON between the albums and they will be released on DMG exclusively. About other bands signed on DMG, it is planed to release a demo from PAX VOBISCUM and I do nothing in it, maybe a punk project from 'URL. . . If other bands are included in DMG, I have to know them a lot, we have to be on the same "line". Also, you know, I don't win money with DMG and I'm not ready to loose money for other bands I'm not in, maybe it wouldn't coast me so much but if it is a band I really like, I would scare not to give them the chance they need. . .Maybe DMG production will become bigger but it's not planed for now.

11) What is the most successful DMG release ?
The most successful DMG release still the first DIAMATREGON demo as it was the beginning and I've done the biggest promo ever. ..I was fed up and broken to do the same promo for the other releases. "The Satanic Devotion" need a big promotion action and I suppose It will be the new best DMG seller. . .ahhhahhhhhhmoneytokillllllllll

12) Future plans ?
Yes, that's what make me alive : beers, rehearsal, lives performances, food, bed and other performances. . . Composition of next DIAMATREGON album called "Blasphemy For Satan", next OBSCURE recording also another Video for DIAMATREGON will be released after the "Blasphemy. . ." album. . .You know, I have enough things to do until the end of my life and to end my life.
