1) Introduce yourself
and your band.
Hell, here is Diamargareton from DIAMATREGON. DIAMATREGON is a one man band
and a side project, it was born a few time ago (Feb. 97) to settle scores and
to use old ideas ( riffs, lyrics, sounds…) that I couldn't use in my other bands.
I wanted to do something primitive, breathless, without any law (all theses
bands are so conformists). My first demo "Between the devil and the deep blue
sea" is 30 minutes long for 7 tracks of fast, brutal, tortured and occult black
metal. The vocals are black, death, whispers, and there are also some ice screams
never heard before. It's a new hateful feeling hard to enter in.
2) Tell a French plate.
Very good question. In France we have something called "Pieds de cochon" which
means pig feet, it's great to eat it with a lot of garlic (anti vampiric). For
myself I prefer cooking it with goat feet (" pieds de bouc") it's stronger.
I've joined with this letter a part of my last meal.
3) Satanism / occultism ?
I like both of them so I use them together. In my family occultism is something
very important (mostly for my sister and mother) so I can learn from really
initiated people.
4) Aryan race / pentagram ?
I'm black hairs and blue eyes and I don't believe in any race but in individuals
people. Some are stupid (most of them) others are the masters and follow their
own gleam. Pentagram: great band. No comment.
5) A. Crowley
Crowley is dead, he was holding a big torch, now there are only small torches
with timorous ideas.
6) Nietzsche's theory about the super humans.
Yeah, right, but others people have used it in other ways, they were the same
who were burning books…
7) Fuck off, in French ?
"Va te faire enculer " but it's not very used compared to "merde", "VA te faire
foutre", " putain ", " con "… I think I'll use more Fuck off in my next lyrics.
8) What do you know about Poland ?
-Behemoth (and the anti front), a lot of other bands. -Danzig's corridor. Danzig
is a killer band (he is the killer wolf). Glen have done very goods things Lucifuge,
Blackaria, Samhain, Misfits… all great) -In French we say "soul comme un polonais"
it means "drunk as a polish" . So I guess you drink a lot. -World war II killed
a lot of your people. -You had great suffers, I think you have been precursor
in revolting against the Kominforn to follow your own way.
9) I think your stuff is influenced by olds bands…
Maybe, the ice screams are a bit in the Slayer's way or Mercyful fate. I've
used music I've composed for my first black metal band, 3 years ago… So it might
have the old touch. Also I'm not romantic at all like these nowadays bands but
more brutal and primitive without keyboards on this first demo. Onslaught, Sodom,
Abruptum, Mayhem, Motorhead, Possessed, are great influences for me and Diamatregon.
But Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of filth too as I hate their clean music.
10) Tell a joke.
I'm very bad a joke but Krukka, the new session drummer for the next "Vinbär
Frost" promo tape, is very good at it. The biggest joke I know is for sure the
Black Metal scene nowadays "Blague metal". A riddle: "what can we do to make
larger the woman's liberty? -just make your kitchen larger."
11) Last gates…
Ok, thanks for the interview. "Between the devil and the deep blue sea " still
available I've also released last month a video with another band : DIAMATREGON
vs MOLOCHIOS : "Video War" available ONLY by us. It's very impressive: 20 minutes
in the dark. Next releases are for DIAMATREGON: -"Vinbär frost" promo tape in
the DIMMU BORGIR vein, with keys and violins: Pure Trend Black Metal -"Spit
Demon"(split with MOLOCHIOS): unholy black metal, poor sound… With the band
OBSCURE: 1 hour of occult music, pure evil recording during the edge of the
years .(ABRUPTUM es-tu-là?)
